This Is What Inspired The Last Of Us

Since our last post about The Last Of Us MP was the most read post of the week, we wanted to talk more about the game, this time telling you where the inspiration of the game game from.
The disease that has created the zombies is based on a fungi that uses a living body to survive this fungi is called Cordyceps. But don't worry because this fungi only affects ants in the real life and unless it evolves with the time it won't be turning you or your family into zombies.

Other concept that inspired this game, and one of the game's main idea, was what if the nature takes back what belongs to it? That's why in the game the city of Pittsburgh has plants everywhere, in the streets, in the buildings, in every single thing created by humans. Also the developing team took inspiration from novels like I Am Legend, No Country For Old Men, The Road, City Of Thieves and the famous comic The Walking Dead. Finally the relationship between Joel and Ellie is based on Drake's relation with Sully, but instead of a father-son relationship this time is a father-daughter relationship.
